Happy World Book Day

Today is World Book Day and this year I decided to do something a little bit different.

Book Aid International is a charity who supports literacy work in sub-Saharan Africa. I’ve taught in Ghana and I’ve seen the difference that education can make first-hand. Helping an individual develop their ability and confidence so that they are able to manipulate a language and make it their own is one of the greatest things. Ever.

So we (my lovely lovely colleague) and I made goodies and are selling them at work today.

If you’d like to contribute by text to our fundraising, that’s possible too!.

You can go through our JustGiving site here or simply text the following code (place the amount you’d like to donate after the £ symbol – anything from 1 upwards!) :  70070 BRXP47 £

And thank you. 🙂

Update: We raised £24. Many thanks to everyone who chipped in, either in person or online. You’re all fab 🙂
